2026 Visual arts Summer camp


GSA offers two week-long visual arts camps. Campers may attend for one week or both. Visual Arts Camp is directed by GSA Chair of Visual Arts, Liana Courts, along with a superb group of dynamic, energetic and talented teaching artists. Camp will be filled with creativity, learning, challenges, and discovery as art lovers are introduced to a variety of classes.
Visual Art Camp is open to rising 6-9th grade students. Students should bring a bag lunch each day. One snack will be provided daily. Refunds will not be provided for any days missed.
WEEK 1: JUNE 22-26
WEEK 2: JUNE 29-JULY 3
Monday-Friday 10am to 4pm
Camp will culminate with an art exhibition and reception featuring the campers' works of art. The art exhibition will be held on the last Friday of each week in GSA's gallery.
Visual Arts Camp offers a wide variety of workshops in many media. Workshops may include:

Location: The Governor's School for the Arts, 254 Granby Street, Norfolk, Virginia
Cost: $375 per week. Registration is not complete until payment is made. Fees due by June 1, 2026.
