Elaine Bromka Gutherie Master Class
Patrick Sutton is Director of the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin, Ireland. After training in England, Mr. Sutton worked in the United Kingdom and France as an actor. In 1987 he began working with Joe Dowling (now Artistic Director at the Gutherie Theatre in Minneapolis) at the Gaiety School and took over as director when Mr. Dowling went to Minneapolis. Mr. Sutton is an accomplished director, writer and acting teacher in Ireland. His plays have been performed in Ireland, England, Europe and the United States. He is currently a speech writer for the Prime Minister of Ireland as well. He conducted two days of master classes with the Theatre department focusing on the "actor's presence" and critiqing monologues and scenes prepared by the students.
